We kick off Friday night with a ticketed performance at the Adderley Amphitheater. This year our headliner is the Violent Femmes, appearing with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra.

Saturday and Sunday you can enjoy two days of free (that’s right, FREE!) appearances of writers and musicians from across the country. All events are in Cascades Park, which has ample free parking, access to local restaurants, food truck options, and plenty of pretty places to enjoy the outdoors.

Word of South also includes an area for children and families on Saturday. Literacy Lane will have a STEAM bus you can visit, authors reading stories for kids, musicians keeping kids moving, and other activities. Plus, kids that come to Word of South leave with at least one free book!
